Are ‘The Bachelorette’s Charity Lawson And Dotun Still Together?

[ad_1]

The Bachelorette winding down next week, and that means a two things: the next Bachelor will be revealed very soon, and it’s time to figure out whether the winners are actually still together.

While the jury’s still out on the next Bachelor, I am happy to report on all there is to know about the next match made in Bachelor Nation heaven (a.k.a. Fiji).

If you haven’t been keeping up with this season, just know that Dotun Olubeko is perhaps one of the best Bachelorette contestants I’ve ever seen. (Sorry, Joey—sending all the love!) He and the 27-year-old child and family therapist really hit it off in New Orleans, and ever since, Dotun has been a clear frontrunner.

According to Reality Steve’s sources, Charity and Dotun will get engaged during the finale next week. The only downer is that we won’t get to see this wonderful man on the next season of The Bachelor. Still, I’m so happy for Charity!

Here’s everything to know about the latest Bachelorette-made pair.

Who is Dotun Olubeko?

Dotun, 30, is a former track star, super focused on health (he’s an integrative medicine specialist, according to his ABC bio), and has the absolute sweetest parents. Plus, his family is based in California but he lives in Brooklyn, New York. So, Charity is about to be so New York when she’s in L.A.

At one point, the season’s frontrunner admitted that he didn’t know The Bachelorette had to end with a proposal. This kind of realization would make anyone get cold feet, but Dotun took it in stride. He said getting engaged didn’t seem scary at all because he would get to marry Charity. Aww.

Dotun was a frontrunner from the start.

If you were skeptical of Dotun’s lead from the very beginning of this season, you must just be on Team Joey. Dotun exemplifies time and time again that he is not only the total package, but is perfect for Charity.

To Charity, he’s pretty much been nicknamed Mr. Too Good To Be True, but he keeps proving that he really is just that great! Throughout this season, he’s charmed the Bachelorette with his endearing personality and innocence toward starring in a reality television show.

Dotun has also raked in the roses. Plus, as if he couldn’t get Charity’s heart pounding enough on his own, the couple ran a 5k, went bungee jumping, and had plenty of deep talks.

Charity may have spilled a major spoiler on Instagram.

Remember when Dotun’s parents flew all the way back from Nigeria to meet Charity? Yup, when they just hopped on casual 17 hour flight? Well, at the end of that absolutely perfect hometown date, Dotun’s mother also gifted Charity some bracelets—which she picked up on her trip.

The bracelets were super cute, so naturally Charity went on to (accidentally) flaunt one of them in an Instagram story a few months back, after The Bachelorette stopped filming, per Reality Steve. Whoops!

A Reddit user caught on to Charity’s mysterious removal of the bracelet in a photograph she shared later that day, and connected the dots.

“Definitely think the bracelet from Charity’s Instagram story meant something because in her Instagram pictures she posted today, she took it off,” the user wrote in May.

Charity is also wearing the same bracelet in the exclusive photos from Fiji shared by PEOPLE in April. Interesting!

Are Charity and Dotun still together?

While Charity and Dotun have managed to fly well below the radar since filming wrapped, Reality Steve is still fairly certain the couple is still together. “She got engaged to Dotun in Fiji and they’ve been together ever since,” Steve wrote in a blog post back in July.

A day later, Steve reconfirmed on Instagram, writing “Charity and Dotun have been happy and engaged since the end of April when filming completed.”

Steve hasn’t steered Bachelor Nation wrong before, so I’d say Charity and Dotun are still very much engaged!
